Reading Logs for All Ages
JCPL offers all people of all ages the opportunity to “Read to Win!” during the summer. Choose the reading log design for you or your child from the links below, print it out, and begin to track your summer reading! Each log explains the details about how much to read, when to turn in the logs and how to win. Click and get started Reading to Win!
Prizes For All Ages
Those who turn in their reading logs between Monday, June 7th and Sunday, July 25th are eligible to win weekly prizes as well as grand prizes drawn at the end of the summer.
Children’s Grand Prizes (Birth through 5th Grade):

Adult Grand Prizes:
“Virtual” Field Trips
Every Wednesday at 10:30am, JCPL will offer a “virtual” field trip for all ages. You can visit museums, zoos and aquariums around the country without ever leaving your own library. Join with JCPL as we travel, via the Internet, to see exciting creatures and learn more about the sea. Registration will be required to attend these fun and informative programs. You may register at the events calendar. Registration will open two weeks in advance.

Art Alive!
JCPL will be offering FREE art classes throughout Summer Reading. Art Instructors Ashley Fossen and David Paige will be teaching the Art Alive! series that will feature various artistic mediums and techniques. Classes for elementary age students (Grades 1-5) will take place Friday mornings at 10:30am and classes for teens and adults (Grade 6 and up) will take place Friday afternoons at 2:00pm. All supplies will be provided.
Space is limited and registration will be required via the events calendar.
Registration will open two weeks in advance.

READ TO WIN!!!!
Every year the library keeps track of how many students from each Jessamine County school participate in the JCPL summer reading program. The school with the highest number of participants will win a trophy for their school to keep for the year. Wilmore Elementary School was the proud winner for summer 2009. The trophy will be on display at JCPL during the summer. Come see what you can win!
