New Children’s Books
The JCPL Children’s Department strives to provide the highest quality materials, programs, and customer service possible. We are happy to assist you at the Children’s Desk during all library hours.
Children age 10 and under must be directly supervised at all times by a responsible adult or caregiver who is at least 14 years old. By working together, we can ensure that families create a lifetime of wonderful library memories.
JCPL Family Book Club
Share the love of reading with the whole family! Families of all ages are invited to join the JCPL Family Book Club and read aloud together in the comfort of their own homes.
Families will read Pax by Sara Pennypacker within the two-month timeframe. Discussion prompts will be provided to help jumpstart conversations, and participants will be able to blog with other families in the club about their thoughts on the book.
Books and discussion questions will be available for the first 50 families who register and can be collected at the Children’s Desk. Visit the JCPL Family Book Club blog to learn more.
Book Match Bundles
