What We Do
JCPL’s Outreach team partners with Jessamine County schools, care centers, and community organizations to bring library services to people of all ages.
Some of our most common services include:
- Book lending
- Storytimes
- Educational programs
- And fun activities!
We offer many of these services year-round. As always, there is no charge to attend our programs or use our services.

Children’s Outreach
Children’s Outreach works with childcare centers, local schools, and other community organizations to bring library services to children ages 0 through 5th grade.
We can:
- Lead storytimes
- Provide activities at after-school programs
- Organize book clubs with elementary schools
- Attend events such as literacy nights, festivals, and career days
- And more

Teen Outreach
Teen Outreach works with local schools and community organizations to bring library services to teens in grades 6 through 12.
We can:
- Lend and recommend books
- Lead STEAM workshops
- Teach teens about library resources
- Visit residential facilities
- Organize book clubs with middle and high schools
- Attend events like college and career fairs and school open houses
- And more

Adult Outreach
Adult Outreach delivers library materials and programs to adults and seniors. We partner with care and residential centers, educational facilities, and other organizations.
If you are an adult resident of Jessamine County who can’t visit the library due to a permanent or temporary condition, you may also qualify for Homebound Delivery.
