How Do I Apply?

To apply for a JCPL library card, please visit the library in person. If you are under 18, please bring a parent or guardian.

Jessamine County Residents

Library cards are free to all who live in Jessamine County.

What do I need to bring?

  • Proof of current address (if the address on your photo ID is up-to-date, that’s all you need!)
  • A photo ID
Jessamine County Employees

Library cards are free to all who work in Jessamine County.

What do I need to bring?

  • Proof of employment, such as a pay stub
  • A photo ID and proof of current address
Non-Residents

Library cards are free to all who have library cards from one of the following counties:

  • Woodford
  • Anderson
  • Bourbon
  • Boyle
  • Clark
  • Estill
  • Fayette
  • Franklin
  • Garrard
  • Harrison
  • Lincoln
  • Madison
  • Mercer
  • Nicholas
  • Powell
  • Scott

What do I need to bring?

  • A photo ID and proof of current address
  • A library card from one of the counties listed above
