To apply for a JCPL library card, please visit the library in person. If you are under 18, please bring a parent or guardian.

Jessamine County Residents
Library cards are free to all who live in Jessamine County.
What do I need to bring?
- Proof of current address (if the address on your photo ID is up-to-date, that’s all you need!)
- A photo ID
Jessamine County Employees
Library cards are free to all who work in Jessamine County.
What do I need to bring?
- Proof of employment, such as a pay stub
- A photo ID and proof of current address
Non-Residents
Library cards are free to all who have library cards from one of the following counties:
- Woodford
- Anderson
- Bourbon
- Boyle
- Clark
- Estill
- Fayette
- Franklin
- Garrard
- Harrison
- Lincoln
- Madison
- Mercer
- Nicholas
- Powell
- Scott
What do I need to bring?
- A photo ID and proof of current address
- A library card from one of the counties listed above
