Tutors can help with math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and more.

With HelpNow, students communicate with live tutors using an interactive whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images, and graph homework problems.

Writing a Paper?

HelpNow has a Writing Lab! Send your paper to a tutor and receive constructive feedback to help you become a better writer. For even more help, connect with a live tutor to get help with any stage of the writing process.

Preparing for a Test?

Visit SkillSurfer to learn with lessons, videos, and practice tests. Take practice tests on the SAT, ACT, GED, and many more. You can also create your own flashcards and study games with Flashbulb.

Who Can Use HelpNow?

Tutoring is available for kindergartners through adult learners.

Who Are the Tutors?

Tutors include a mix of professional tutors, retired instructors, graduate students, and college faculty members. Over 80% of tutors have a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in their field.

When Is It Available?

Tutors are available every day from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Other services, such as the Writing Lab, SkillSurfer, and Send Question are available anytime that’s convenient to you. Tutors usually respond to Writing Lab and Send Question submissions in 24 hours.

How Do I Get Started?

  • Visit HelpNow and sign up to create your account.
  • To connect with a tutor, click “Live Tutoring.”
  • Select your subject and level.
  • Click “Get Live Help.”

HelpNow is available from the library’s public computers or from any computer with an internet connection.
