The Nov. 7 general election is just around the corner! Read on for information on voting deadlines, dates, and polling places.
Kentucky Voting Deadlines
The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 7 general election is Oct. 10, 2023, no later than 4:00 p.m. local time.
For those who qualify to submit a mail-in absentee ballot, the deadline to apply for one online is Oct. 24, 2023.
Civil Rights Restoration
If you have been convicted of a non-violent felony in Kentucky and have served your time, your voting rights may have been restored by a 2019 executive order. Visit the Civil Rights Restored website to learn more and to check your status. If your rights have been restored, you will still need to register to vote.
Voting Dates
Oct. 25 – 27, 2023 and Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 2023: Excused, in-person absentee voting for qualified voters.
Nov. 2 – Nov. 4, 2023: In-person, no excuse absentee voting.
Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023: Election Day. Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
