JCPL Speaks Your Language with Our New VASCO Translator V4 Devices

Hello, hola, bonjour! Ever find yourself wanting to communicate with someone but you can’t get through a language barrier? Moments like these can be frustrating, but JCPL is here to help!

We’ve recently added several VASCO Translator V4 devices to the Library of Things so you can communicate with ease in up to 108 different languages.

What is the VASCO Translator V4?

The VASCO Translator V4 device resembles a smartphone and can help with a multitude of translation needs. You can translate by:

  • Scanning a document
  • Typing
  • Speaking

With the typing feature, you can directly type the communication you’d like translated or use a group chat feature. Similarly, the speaking feature allows you to talk and translate directly with the device.

Or, you can use the device in conversation to have the VASCO Translator V4 translate speech in real time, even if there are multiple languages being spoken.

When would I use the VASCO Translator V4?

The VASCO Translator V4 device can be useful in many settings, such as:

  • Parent-teacher conferences
  • Workplace trainings
  • Traveling
  • Hosting community events
  • And much more!
